While we wait for the Micromax to launch its first CyanogenMod-based smartphone under the Yu brand, there is a new Canvas in the offering.
The device is christened Micromax Canvas Xpress and is priced at Rs 6,999. It will be available exclusively on flipkart.com starting December 8, 2014.
Coming to the specifications of Micromax Canvas Xpress, it comes equipped with a 1.3GHz quad core processor along with 1GB of RAM. The device sports a 4.5-inch FWVGA display and runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat. One can capture all their images using the 5MP Auto Focus rear camera and there is 0.3MP front camera. Power-packed with a 1,950 mAh battery and comes with 4GB of internal storage, which can be expandable by of up to 32GB through a microsSD. Micromax has also tied up with Aircel to give the users of this smartphone free data worth 500mb per month for the first six months.
The Canvas Xpress comes equipped with features like HotKnot and Smart Wake. Using HotKnot, the user can transfer data with just a tap. And with Smart Wake, users can access their favorite apps through customized gestures, and open the apps directly from the locked screen.
