Nokia 1100 may return with Android Lollipop Nokia may be in the process of manufacturing an Android smartphone which it may launch once it can start selling phones after Q4 2016. Till that time, it can't sell any smartphones because its contract with Microsoft forbids it to do so.

The smartphone that is being prepared is named after none other than the company's legendary Nokia 1100. But the comeback model will run Android 5.0 Lollipop.

First spotted on Nokia Power User, the Geekbench test of the new Nokia 1100 reveals that it will be powered by 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek processor and 512MB RAM. It has also been revealed that the smartphone will feature 1280x720p display. No other information is available at the moment.

During the ongoing MWC 2015, Nokia also showcased its N1 tablet which runs Android Lollipop.

Although Nokia has been dropping hints that it is planning a flagship smartphone running Android, one will have to wait for some time before we see one hitting the shelves.
