The wave of religious fanaticism and intolerance towards films went a step further when Kabir Khan's unreleased film Bajrangi Bhaijaan was at the receiving end of the wrath of fundamentalists.
A source close to the film suggests, "Kabir and Salman have been receiving hate mails from many religious extremists stating that they will boycott the film because it propagates Love Jihad. Kabir is flabbergasted. Of course, the film traces the love story of a Muslim guy and a Hindu girl but not every cross-religious wedding is Love Jihad." The source further urges the state governments and police machinery to safeguard creative rights of filmmakers and artistes because in case of PK, the vandalizing of theaters ended up stretching the ideological difference a tad bit too far.
